Emergency 9-1-1

The New Westminster Police Department honours the contributions made by volunteers and recognizes the service of volunteers as a fundamental part of every community. Each volunteer provides an invaluable service to both the Department and the citizens of New Westminster.

The efforts of volunteers continue to impact both the individual and community, and assist the New Westminster Police Department in building a relationship with the community based on mutual trust and understanding

Whether it is to volunteer your time as an Reserve Constable and lend an extra hand canvassing a neighbourhood, working alongside Victim Assistance Unit personnel in making a supportive telephone call to a victim of crime, or simply extending a smile to a community member at a New Westminster Police Department event, volunteers make a difference.

There are three different ways to volunteer with the New Westminster Police Department:

Reserve Constable Program

Victim Assistance Unit

Crime Prevention Unit
