Increase in motorcycle theft

We are warning of an increase in motorcycle theft in New Westminster. Thieves have been stealing motorcycles by putting them into neutral and rolling them away.

Witnesses asked to come forward following assault Downtown

On July 30th, 2024 at approximately 10:00pm a witness flagged down a New Westminster Police officer outside the police station to report that a man was in distress and in need of assistance. Officers located the man, who appeared to the victim of a stabbing.

New Westminster man sentenced for possession of child pornography after guilty plea

In 2019 the New Westminster Major Crime Unit began an investigation into child pornography being uploaded to the internet by a New Westminster resident. The New Westminster Police Department Major Crime Unit made an arrest in April 2020.
