New Westminster – The New Westminster Police Department are in the early stages of investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 8:00 am near 5th Avenue and Stewardson Way. Traffic has been rerouted and drivers are asked to avoid the area. It is anticipated Stewardson Way will be closed in both directions for several hours. BC Coroner and the Integrated Collision Analysis Reconstruction Service have been notified.
“Police are in the early stages of this investigation,” stated Sergeant Leaver. “If you witnessed this collision or have dash-cam footage please reach out to police.”
