The family, which included two young children and a pregnant mother, was left without food, diapers, or basic necessities. Officers gained access to the suite to recover the mother’s essential medications and engaged the Victim Assistance Unit to help find temporary housing. With no immediate solution available, a compassionate neighbor offered the family shelter, which they gratefully accepted.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the officers personally purchased several days’ worth of food, baby formula, diapers, and other items. This response exemplifies NWPD’s mission to serve the community with integrity, excellence, and compassion.
