New Westminster – On September 24th, 2024 at approximately 5:00pm, the New Westminster Police Department was called to the 1400 block of Salter Street for a report of sudden death. Upon police attendance, a 38 year-old female was located deceased under suspicious circumstances.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) were contacted, and have assumed conduct of the investigation. IHIT will be working in partnership with the New Westminster Police Major Crime Unit to gather evidence and determine the circumstances of the death.
Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase, and no further information will be provided at this time. Further details and media availability will be handled by the IHIT Media Relations Officer.
