New Westminster – The New Westminster Police Department and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service are investigating a single vehicle collision that occurred in the early morning hours of May 11th at the intersection of East Columbia Street and Brunette Avenue. BC Emergency Health Services Paramedics transported two people to hospital. The driver of the vehicle, an adult male, has subsequently died. All the contributing factors of this incident are still under investigation.
“Officers secured the scene and began collecting evidence,” stated Sergeant Andrew Leaver. “This is a tragic event and our thoughts are with the family of this individual.”
