Police looking for thieves who stole New West Soccer Club equipment

New Westminster – The New Westminster Police Department is asking the public for information or CCTV footage that may help in locating stolen equipment belonging to the New West Soccer Club.

Between March 19th and March 27th thieves made off with four large steel storage boxes which the club used to store soccer equipment. The boxes are painted brown with the New West Soccer Club logo on them, measuring approximately 4 feet long by 2 feet deep by 2.5 feet high. The boxes were located at Glenbrook Middle School and Hume Park.

“It’s upsetting to see sports equipment stolen from these parks,” stated Sergeant Andrew Leaver. “It’s not just about the loss of gear, it’s about thieves taking away the ability for youths to play soccer where they’re able to grow and develop their skills.”

Residents living near Glenbrooke Middle School and Hume Park are asked to check CCTV for footage of the thefts. If you have any information you believe may further this investigation you’re asked to call the New Westminster Police Department and reference file number 24-4968.
