New Westminster – The New Westminster Police are in the early stages of fatal motor vehicle incident investigation in the 700 block of Princess Street. On December 10th at approximately 1:45 pm patrol officers were called to the 700 block of Princess Street for an unresponsive pedestrian that had been struck by a driver. The driver remained at the scene.
Investigators from the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service attended the scene, as well as New Westminster Police Department Major Crime Unit.
“This is a tragic event and our thoughts are with the family of this individual,” stated Sergeant Andrew Leaver. “We have a large team of investigators working together to determine how this happened, but we are still in the early stages at this point.”
