Witnesses asked to come forward following assault of a man at New Westminster SkyTrain Station

New Westminster – On November 21st at approximately 1:00 am New Westminster Police Department officers attended the third level of the New Westminster SkyTrain Station after a report of an assault. Police rushed to the scene and met with the victim, who had suffered injuries to his face. Patrol officers called BC Emergency Health Services paramedics who transported the man to local hospital.

The suspect is described as a tall black male with a medium build, between 20 – 40 years old, with some facial hair. The suspect was wearing green pants, a black hooded puffer jacket, and white sneakers.

“We’re in the early stages of this investigation,” stated Sergeant Justine Thom. “We believe there may have been others in the SkyTrain station who saw this assault. We’re asking those people to come forward to tell us about what they saw.”
