New Westminster – On May 1st at approximately 3:00 am New Westminster Police Department officers learned about a victim in distress near the intersection of Carnarvon Street and Alexander Street. Officers and BC Emergency Health Services paramedics located a victim with significant but non-life threatening injuries and provided him aid and transportation to local area hospital.
“At this time officers are canvassing the area for CCTV footage of the suspects,” stated Sergeant Leaver. “This assault occurred at approximately 1:30 am and there are indications this is a targeted assault.”
It is believed two individuals armed with weapons assaulted this victim. If you witnessed this incident and have not shared with police what you saw please reach out to the New Westminster Police Department at 604-525-5411.
