New Westminster – On April 18th at approximately noon New Westminster Police Department officers responded to a shooting that occurred in the 700 block of Carnarvon Street. The response resulted in a large police presence at the Royal Columbian Hospital. A man is being treated for non-life threatening injuries and two suspects are in police custody. The Major Crime Unit has since taken conduct of this investigation.
This investigation is in the early stages. Any witnesses that haven’t yet spoken to police are asked to call investigators. Major Crime Unit investigators can be reached by calling 604-529-2430.
