New Westminster – On June 9th 2022 at approximately 9:00 pm the New Westminster Police Department received a call from a witness advising they observed a male break the window of the Crystal Nails Spa in the Columbia Square Shopping Mall near 10th Street and Royal Avenue in New Westminster. The witness was able to provide police with a details on the incident and a suspect description as well as a direction of travel.
Patrol officers rushed to the area and with some assistance from other witnesses nearby, were able to quickly locate the suspect male near the New Westminster Skytrain Station. The male was arrested and patrol officers were able to recover all of the stolen property.
“This arrest was made possible due to the observations of the witness on scene as well as other individuals in area,” stated Sergeant Justine Thom. “Our patrol officers did excellent work in locating and arresting the person responsible.”
The recommended charges of Break and Enter have been approved against 39 year old, Kyle LANSIMAKI, of Coquitlam.
