New Westminster – On January 18th the New Westminster Police Department published a media release detailing an incident at Sixth and Carnarvon and the corresponding charges against a New Westminster resident. Since that time an additional charge has been approved.
46 year old New Westminster resident Jamie Maclean has now been charged with the following offences:
One count of Assault, contrary to Section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada;
One count of Assaulting a Police Officer, contrary to Section 270(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada; and
One count of Mischief, contrary to Section 430(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada
“We’re pleased that crown counsel has had a chance to revisit this file and approve an additional assault charge against Mr. Maclean for allegedly grabbing the stroller and baby’s jacket,” stated Sergeant Sanjay Kumar.
