New Westminster – On July 1st 2021, at approximately 9:00 pm the New Westminster Police received a report of a collision involving a cyclist and a driver of a vehicle at the intersection of 8th Street and 8th Avenue. The cyclist was traveling northbound on 8th Street when they were struck by a driver.
“Anyone who saw this collision, or may have dash-cam footage is asked to contact the New Westminster Police Department,” stated Acting Inspector Jeff Scott, “Our investigation into this collision is ongoing.”
The driver did not remain at the scene and police are looking to identify the driver. Anyone who has information regarding this incident is asked to contact the New Westminster Police Department at 604-525-5411, citing file 21-10982.
