IIO BC Called to investigate in-custody injury

The male was taken to a local area hospital for medical assessment and treatment.

“At the time of this reported injury the male was alone in his cell. We have also notified the Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner of the incident.”

As the matter is now under investigation by the IIO BC, no further information will be released by police.
