Get to know your neighbours and learn new skills in the Crime Prevention Unit

New Westminster – In 2020 are you looking to learn new skills? Are you wanting to meet people who care as much about this city as much as you do? The New Westminster Police Department Crime Prevention Unit is looking for new volunteers.

“Joining the Crime Prevention Unit is a way you can help make the changes you want to see in our city,” stated Crime Prevention Unit Volunteer Coordinator Constable Camille Oliveira. “And our revised application form means volunteering with us is now easier than ever.”

Crime Prevention Unit volunteers help search for missing people, identify stolen vehicles, patrol areas of New Westminster, help with our anti-theft bicycle program, and chat with residents about crime free strategies.

The application form can be found at www.nwpolice.org.
