New Westminster Police Department investigate shots fired

New Westminster – At approximately 7:30pm on November 17th, members of the New Westminster Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of Osborne Avenue. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. Members determined shots had been fired in what appears to be a targeted, isolated event.

“Investigators are speaking with witnesses and other parties who may be involved,” stated Sergeant Josh Hooker. “Because we are still in the early stages of the investigation, detectives are working hard to determine what exactly happened. The New Westminster Police Department will provide further updates when more details are available.”

The New Westminster Police Department Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation which is ongoing and is asking anyone with information about this incident to please call 604-525-5411.
