New Westminster – On August 15th, 2019 the New Westminster Police Street Crime Unit located and arrested 30 year old New Westminster resident, Tyler Bennett who had an outstanding arrest warrant.
Mr. Bennett is suspected to be responsible for several property offences throughout New Westminster and has been previously arrested and charged for similar type offences.
The New Westminster Police Street Crime Unit was able to locate and arrest Mr. Bennett on the outstanding warrant for failure to comply with a probation order, failure to comply with probation, and possession of stolen property.
“Our Street Crime Unit was able to use specialized investigative techniques during the course of this investigation,” stated acting Chief Constable Dave Jansen. “The NWPD will continue to monitor priority offenders as we remain focused on reducing crime in our community.”
Mr. Bennett remains in-custody for his next appearance on August 23rd.
