New Westminster – The New Westminster Police Department is asking for public assistance in locating 13 year old Angelo Africa. Angelo lives with his father in the 400 block of Victoria Street in New Westminster. He was last seen by his father on September 28th, 2018 at approximately 4:50pm when he left for a friend’s house in Vancouver.
It is believed that Angelo has not returned home on his own accord and is possibly staying with friends. Because Angelo’s father has not heard from him since Friday, he is concerned and wants to ensure his well-being.
“Help us help Angelo’s family in locating him to ensure his well-being. We do not believe that any foul play has occurred and we hope that someone who knows his whereabouts calls us,” stated Sergeant Jeff Scott. “Investigators will continue to follow any leads as they come in.”
Angelo is described as a 13 year old Caucasian and Asian youth with a slim build, brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black and red track pants, and red shoes. Anyone with information is asked to call the New Westminster Police at 604-525-5411.
UPDATE: On October 1st, 2018 Angelo was located in Vancouver and is safe.
