New Westminster – The New Westminster Police Department are in the early stages of investigating a fatal motor vehicle incident at a worksite in Queensborough. On April 6th 2018 at approximately 8:30am officers were called to an industrial yard on Ewen Avenue for an unresponsive person, who had been fatally injured from a semi-truck.
Investigators from the NWPD Criminal Investigations Section, and the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Team, along with the BC Coroner’s Serve and Work Safe BC, are investigating.
“This is a tragic event and our thoughts are with the family of this individual,” stated Media Relations Officer Sergeant Jeff Scott. “We have a large team of investigators working together to determine how this happened, but we are still in the early stages at this point.”
