The New Westminster Police Department and Burnaby RCMP and are hosting a Crime Free Multi-Housing training workshop on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Burnaby RCMP Main Detachment.
“This program is designed to help residents, owners and managers of rental property in co-operation with the police to keep illegal activity away from rental properties,” stated Crime Prevention Coordinator Jennifer Sanford. “The result of this team effort is a safer, more habitable environment in which to live.”
This day-long workshop is for police agencies, property and rental managers who are interested in providing a safer and friendlier environment for residents to live. This is a certified phase one training workshop.

- Applicant Screening Process
- Combatting Illegal Activity
- Police and Community Working Together
- Proactive Property Management
- Residential Tenancy Legislation
- Phase Two: Security Assessment
- Next Steps in the CFMH Program
