The New Westminster Police Department wants residents to be aware of the following recent crimes so that residents can take precautions:
Location: Area south of Sixth Avenue, west of Eighth Street, including Quayside Drive and all attached streets.
Crimes:
- Break-ins into apartment buildings and undergrounds
- Theft of auto
- Theft from auto
Prevention Tips:
- Ensure the front door of apartment buildings are closed when you enter and exit
- Park in well-lit areas
- Report any suspicious activity to the police
- Keep valuables out of vehicles
- Lock vehicles
