New Westminster – The New Westminster Police Department is pleased to launch a refreshed website featuring improved navigation, new features and an updated look and feel.
“This is an exciting day for the New Westminster Police Department,” said Chief Dave Jones. “It’s been a while since we updated the look of our site and we are very pleased with the outcome. It’s crisp, bold and easy to navigate and residents can now access the site from any device.”
Under the guidance of the communications and information technology team, the re-design process included consultation with the public through a focus group to better understand how residents, businesses, and visitors use the site and access information.
Working with website design company Ballistic Arts, the communications team reviewed other police department websites from around the world and incorporated the latest in best practices and user experience design.
Key features of the refreshed website include an improved navigation, social media integration and alerts feature. Additionally, the refreshed website is also fully optimized for mobile devices.
