Alleged Drug Traffickers Charged

New Westminster – On February 11th 2016 after an extensive drug trafficking investigation, the New Westminster Police Department Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant on an apartment in the 700 block of Carnarvon Street. The NWPD Street Crime Unit arrested two alleged drug traffickers for multiple offences.

New Westminster resident 41 year old Christina Fotch and 55 year old Michael Dionne have since been charged with several drug related offences.

Mr. Dionne has been charged with one count of Unlawfully Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Ms. Fotch has been charged with three counts of Unlawfully Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, and one count of Unlawfully Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Heroin, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

“Mr. Dionne and Ms. Fotch were allegedly trafficking in the downtown core of New Westminster, which is located near transition housing and a school for at risk youth,” stated Media Relations Officer Acting Sergeant Jeff Scott. “Residents in these communities are trying to better their lives, which is why our Street Crime Unit has devoted the time and energy to stop drug dealers from profiting in our city and taking advantage of vulnerable residents.”

Mr. Dionne and Ms. Fotch are due to appear in court on April 27th at 9am.
