NWPD Seek Public Assistance to Identify Suspect

New Westminster – The New Westminster Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a theft suspect. An unknown man entered into a local business in the 600 block of 6th Street on January 28th 2016 and stole $18,000 worth of iPads.

At approximately 3:30pm, the suspect entered the warehouse portion of the store and used bolt cutters to break into a storage case. He loaded 54 iPads into a bag and then fled the warehouse. Once outside of the warehouse, he got into a blue Chrysler 300 and drove away.

The suspect is described as a tall Caucasian male, who was wearing a blue reflective jacket, black pants, and white gloves.

“We are hoping that someone will recognize the suspect in the photograph,” stated Media Relations Officer Acting Sergeant Jeff Scott. “This was a large number of iPads that were stolen, and we are asking if anyone does recognize the suspect to please call us.”
