Multiple Suspects Charged in Extensive Drug Case

New Westminster – In the months of October, November, and December 2015 the NWPD Street Crime Unit, in collaboration with the Burnaby RCMP Drug Section, engaged in an extensive drug trafficking investigation. As a result of their investigation, several different people have been charged with multiple offences:

1. Gary Gurinder Singh Dhami has been charged with 6 counts of Drug Trafficking, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

2. Sukhtaj Sing Kang has been charged with 4 counts of Drug Trafficking, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

3. Kiearah Ayisha Atwell and Kelvin John Madden have been charged with 4 counts of Drug Trafficking, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

4. Kiearah Ayisha Atwell and Kelvin John Madden have been charged with 3 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

5. Miles Dennis Sparks has been charged with 2 counts of Drug Trafficking, contrary to section 5(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

“Drug trafficking negatively affects the entire community and it traditionally brings an element of risk to the public,” stated Media Relations Officer Acting Sergeant Jeff Scott. “The hard work of our Street Crime Unit has led to these alleged drug traffickers being charged for their offences.”

All the suspects have been released with conditions of an Undertaking and are due to appear before the courts.
