New Westminster – On December 1st 2015 at approximately 11:45am, NWPD patrol officers responded to the 2200 block of 8th Avenue after receiving a report of bullet holes being located in both a vehicle and a house. As a result, the Major Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation, and no one is believed to have been injured.
“Members are in the early stages of their investigation, but do not believe there is a risk to the public at this time,” stated Media Relations Officer Acting Sergeant Jeff Scott. “It is too soon to say if this is related to gang activity or any other shootings that have recently happened around the Lower Mainland.”
