New Westminster – On March 20, 2014, fifty-two year old Fred William Bilawey appeared in New Westminster Provincial Court where he was charged with one count of Sexual Assault contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code of Canada. Bilawey fled the country and upon his return on September 20, 2014, he was arrested. He was held in custody for a bail hearing which occurred on Monday, October 6, 2014. At that time, he entered a guilty plea to one count of Sexual Assault and is currently in custody awaiting a sentencing date.
