Each year, on average, 2,700 pedestrians are injured in car crashes. We all need to do our part in reducing the number of crashes involving pedestrians since we share the roadways year-round. Drive smart and walk smart to help keep yourself and everyone else safe.
Over the next couple weeks, our Reserve Constables will be attending busy crosswalks around the city, handing out pedestrian safety information and speaking to citizens at two high pedestrian traffic locations:
- 6th Street and 6th Avenue crosswalk and the crosswalk outside of the Tim Horton’s
- Carnarvon Street between 8th and 10th Street
If you see a Reserve at these locations, they’d be happy to chat!
