NWPD Investigate Assault on Female

New Westminster – The NWPD are seeking public assistance with their investigation of an assault which took place on Sunday, September 22nd, 2013, at approximately 2:00 am. At that time, a 48 year old female victim was walking in the 200 block of Queens Avenue, when an unknown male suspect appeared out of some bushes and said, “Come here you!” in an aggressive manner. The suspect grabbed the victim and threw her to the ground; however she screamed and the suspect fled eastbound on foot. NWPD patrol members responded to the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as follows:

  • a Caucasian male
  • 25-40 years in age
  • 5’11”-6’1” in height
  • lean muscular build
  • clean shaven with no distinct facial features
  • wearing a form fitting black t-shirt with white and red writing, blue jeans with a belt and a black ball cap

Given the nature of this assault, the NWPD are asking members of the public to be extra vigilant of their surroundings in the area, especially at night.
