On August 15, 2013, the New Westminster Police Department began an investigation into a Break and Enter in the area of Laguna Courts, where a safe was stolen from a residence. Amongst the items in the safe was a gold ring with a large opal approximately 23mm x 16mm x 8 mm, and diamonds graduating in size on an angle down each side. Below is a photo of what the ring would look like, though it is not an exact copy.
