NWPD seeking assistance in Missing Person Investigation

The New Westminster Police are requesting both public and media assistance to help locate a runaway teenager who has been reported to the police as missing by her very concerned family.

On April 3rd, 2013, 15 year old Colleen Van Dijk was reported to the NWPD as missing from New Westminster, where she was temporarily residing. Van Dijk is known to make extensive use of public transportation, including buses and Skytrain and has been known to frequent the bus loop area of Glover Road and Logan Avenue in Langley, BC. Colleen last had contact with her family on May 12th, 2013 when she spoke to her mother on the phone. Extensive efforts by NWPD investigators have failed to locate her to this point.

Colleen is 5’5″ tall and weighs approximately 130 lbs. When last seen by her family she had lightened hair and hazel eyes and was wearing a navy blue “Roots Canada” hooded sweatshirt, large red sun glasses and large hoop earrings. Colleen also uses the name Colleen James.
