The New Westminster Police Department is gearing up for a great night this Saturday, December 15, 2012. Police officers, civilians, Reserve Constables and NWPD volunteers will be heading out to volunteer their time to Operation Red Nose, providing safe rides home to holiday party-goers.
This is the first year that the NWPD has taken part in providing volunteers for the program; the Department is teaming up with Burnaby, Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam to assist in this worthwhile cause.
The NWPD are providing eight vehicles and 25 volunteers to assist with rides home throughout the night.
All funds raised will go to Kidsport to give more kids a chance to play organized sports.
