The New Westminster Police Department is asking for assistance from the public in identifying a prolific con artist who is victimizing elderly females in our community.
On November 21, 2012, the suspect male befriended an elderly female victim. He pretended to be her son and followed her home and into her suite. He then stole $240 cash that was in her wallet and fled the area.
The same type of incident occurred on January 2, 2012 where a male convinced an elderly female to take out $1,600 from her bank account. We believe that the same male is responsible for both thefts.
