The NWPD Major Crime Unit is investigating a violent home invasion that occurred at an apartment building in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue last Friday, October 26th at approximately 7:30 PM.
Three suspects – two male and one female—forced entry to the residence armed with a handgun and a hammer. The suspects threatened the occupants and at one point struck one of the occupants several times with the hammer, causing injuries requiring hospitalization. The suspects later fled the scene and have not been located or identified at this time. Based on the evidence gathered thus far in the investigation, it is not believed to have been a random incident.
The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect 1: Caucasian female, mid-20s, approx 5’8”, thin/med build, dark hair (unknown style or length), wearing dark hoodie
Suspect 2: Caucasian male, early to mid-30s, approx 5’7”, thin build, dirty blonde crew-cut style hair, clean cut, wearing dark hoodie and dark sweat pants
Suspect 3: Caucasian male, late 20s, approx 6’1”, thin build, narrow facial features, wearing grey hoodie with an off-white pattern around hood
All three suspects were observed fleeing the area in an older model dark colored 4-door vehicle.
