NWPD Urges Public To Be Aware Of Suspicious Activity

The Eastside of New Westminster and Burnaby have been experiencing a rash of break-ins and attempted break-ins to sheds and outbuildings located at the rear of residential properties. Bolt cutters were used to cut locks to sheds and pry tools to force doors open.

“The New Westminster Police Department would like to urge the public to remain vigilant and on the lookout for any suspicious behavior, in particular, people that do not belong or appear to be casing out residences from back alleys,” said Sergeant Diana McDaniel, Media Liaison Officer.

The New Westminster Police ask that the public call 604-525-5411 to report all suspicious activity so that police can attend and hopefully apprehend a suspect or identify any persons involved in the break-ins.
