On May 17th, 2012 at approximately 0300 hours, NWPD patrol officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence in the 1300 block of Dan Lee Avenue. While en route the responding officers were advised that one of the subjects at the residence had been stabbed. Upon arrival, a 38 year old male was located suffering from stab wounds. The male was transported to a local area hospital for treatment while a 27 year old female was taken into custody at the scene. The female suspect has not been formally charged at this time and is currently being held at the New Westminster Police office.
The NWPD Major Crime Unit has been called in to assume conduct of this investigation which is ongoing at this time. The male victim remains in hospital in serious condition.
While it is believed the male victim and female suspect were known to each other, the exact nature of their relationship forms part of the current investigation.
