On March 24, 2012 at 02:00 hours, NWPD Patrol members responded to a complaint of a male who had possibly been stabbed in the arm. The male was located suffering from serious lacerations to one of his arms and transported to a local area hospital for treatment. The NWPD Major Crime Unit assumed control of the investigation and determined the injuries suffered by the male were self inflicted while he was involved in a break and enter to an occupied residence in the 700 block of 4th Avenue, New Westminster. The victims of this break-in, who are believed to be known to the accused, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and were treated at a local area hospital.
The accused, Alec ROBERT’s, a 23 year old male from Surrey was taken into custody after his release from hospital and has now been charged with one count each of Aggravated Assault, Assault, Break and Enter and Mischief.
