On October 8th, 2011, New Westminster Police Members were attending to a gathering of people in the area of Columbia and Church Street in New Westminster, when they were alerted to a male who had been stabbed. A 25 year old Vancouver resident was located suffering from non life threatening stab wounds.
An extensive search of the area by uniformed members, Air One, and a RCMP Police Service dog was unsuccessful in locating any suspects.
Major Crime and Forensic Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and examining the crime scene.
Any persons who may have been in the area and witnessed the altercation, or who may have any information, are asked to call Detective Shari Gulliver at 604-525-5411.
