The New Westminster Police Service is investigating the death of a small child. It is early on in the investigation and all indications are that this death was an accident. Police resources are currently working to determine what occurred. Our victim assistance unit is with the family at this time offering support. Police would like to remind parents to ensure young children do not play around open windows, balconies and doors especially in upper floors.
