On July 11th, 2009 at approximately 2130 hours, the New Westminster Police responded to a 911 call of a female in distress in the Queensborough area. According to witnesses, a group of male suspects in possession of sticks and pipes accosted an 18 year old female walking home to her residence. One of the males in the group pointed a handgun at the female and threatened her with physical harm if she did not cooperate in providing them with the location of her boyfriend. It was later determined that the female and her boyfriend had been involved with a dispute with this group of males earlier in the evening.
