In the early morning hours of July 10th, 2009 members of the NWPS were called to the Royal Columbian Hospital to investigate significant injuries received by a male currently being treated at that location. The cause of these injuries could not be be confirmed, however assault has not been ruled out as a cause.
Further investigation revealed that the male was located by EHS in the area of 13th Street and 6th avenue shortly before midnight. Police are asking anyone who has any information about this incident or who may have observed anything suspicious in the area around that time to contact Staff-Sergeant Paul HYLAND of the NWPS Major Crime Section at 604-529-2429.
The male victim has been identified and his family has been contacted. Police are not releasing his name at this time.
The victim remains in serious condition
