On June 30, 2009 at 05:20 hours, a 28 year old pregnant female was walking to her place of employment in the 600 block of 6th Street, New Westminster when a Caucasian male ran up to her from behind and knocked to her to the ground. The suspect male then touched the victim in a sexual manner before being chased off by witnesses in the area.
The suspect male is described as wearing “skater” style shoes, baggy blue or black jeans, a baggy black zip coat with a hood and a long white t-shirt underneath his coat. The suspect male was clean shaven, mid 20’s, with wavy and curly blond or light brown hair.
The victim in this incident received minor injuries however, she was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital to be examined for precautionary reasons. She was later released.
This attack appears to be random in nature and the New Westminster Police Service Major Crime Unit is continuing on with the investigation.
