Missing Male With Medical Concerns

We are very pleased to announce that the sixty-one-year-old male who was reported missing late last night after leaving Royal Columbian Hospital, has been located. Shawn McGladdery, who was in need of medication, arrived at Vancouver General Hospital earlier this afternoon and has since been transported back to his family in Surrey.

We are also pleased to announce that he is in good health and does not appear to have suffered any injuries while missing.

The New Westminster Police Service is very grateful for the attention given by the Media and the public to this case as we received numerous tips and possible sightings of Mr. McGladdery throughout the day.

New Westminster Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing sixty-one-year-old man. Shawn McGladdery of Surrey went missing after being discharged from Royal Columbian Hospital at about 11:30PM on May 4th, 2009. He was last seen at the McDonald’s Restaurant on Scott Road near the Scott Road Skytrain Station in Surrey at 11:50pm.

McGladdery is Caucasian, balding with black/graying hair. He is approximately 5’7” and 150 lbs, and last seen wearing a blue jacket and blue pants, and was NOT wearing any shoes. McGladdery suffers from various medical issues including seizures and is in need of his medication. As a result of a brain hemorrhage as a youth, McGladdery walks with a limp and has a partially paralyzed left side, most noticeably in his left hand.
