On May 6th at approximately 12:30 pm, the NWPD responded to a report of a suspicious circumstance on East Columbia Street near Front Street. A witness reported seeing a South Asian female with long black hair jump from the passenger side of a moving white vehicle while it traveled at approximately 20 km/hr. The driver of the white vehicle then parked the car and ran after the female before pulling her back to the car by her hair. The male is described as Caucasian, approximately 40 years old standing 6 feet tall, bald with a heavy build.
The incident happened very quickly and by the time the witness was able to turn around to get a better description, the white vehicle had departed.
The NWPD is asking anyone who witnessed the incident or may have any information about the incident to please contact Constable Leigh Hodak at 604-525-5411.
