The New Westminster Police Department wants residents to be aware of the following recent crimes so that residents can take precautions:
- Theft from vehicles in the overnight hours, between Carnarvon Street and 5th Avenue, and 1st Street and 8th Street.
- The targeted vehicles are vehicles with a small triangle window, such as older style pick-up trucks.
- Residents are reminded to lock doors and windows, and to remove valuables from their vehicles.
