The New Westminster Police Department wants residents to be aware of the following recent crimes so that residents can take precautions:
Break-Ins along East Royal Avenue to apartment and condo building mail boxes. Please report suspicious activity, regularly check your mail, and make sure building door is secure and no one follows you in.
Bicycle theft from the Quayside Drive area. Please lock your bikes with two locks, and record and photograph the serial number. Serial numbers can often be found on the pedal or crank shaft.
Also, theft from autos in the downtown core. Please ensure you park in a well-lit area, report suspicious activity, and don’t leave belongings in vehicle.
