Project 529 Garage bike registration dates for summer 2019

In Vancouver alone 5 – 6 bikes are reported stolen every day and only a few get returned to their owners when recovered by police.

Why so few? Because many owners don’t record and share their bike serial number and description.

Help defend against the bike theft epidemic by:
• Registering your bike with 529 Garage bike registry for free – it takes only five minutes!
• Getting a 529 Garage decal to discourage thieves.
• Locking your bike properly.

In the event your bike goes missing, you’ll have everything you need to activate the police and community to help recover your bike.

This will significantly improve the chances of stolen bikes being reunited with their owners.

Registration into Project 529 is a $14.99 value, but free when done through NWPD. You must bring your bike to one of our registration events for photos and decal. You must have a email address to register. Register your bike at the following events in New Westminster:

May 29 – Moody Park, 6:30am-9:00am, adjacent to the bike by the lawn bowling

May 30 – 22 Street Skytrain, 6:30am-9:00am, on 22 Street just west of the station

June 15 – Queensborough Children’s Festival, 11:00am-2:00pm, Ryall Park

July 1 – Canada Day Celebrations Queens Park, 11:30am-3:30pm, Queens Park

July 9 – New West Grand Prix, 4:00pm-9:00pm, on Columbia Street in front of New Westminster Police Dept

July 16-19 – New Westminster Police Soccer School, 9:30am-12:45pm, Queens Park Stadium
