How do I...
If the crime you are reporting is an emergency, call 911.
If the crime you are reporting is not an emergency, you can call the non-emergency line at 604-525-5411 or attend our Front Counter at 555 Columbia Street, New Westminster, BC.
In Vancouver alone 5 – 6 bikes are reported stolen every day and only a few get returned to their owners when recovered by police.
Why so few? Because many owners don’t record and share their bike serial number and description.
Help defend against the bike theft epidemic by:
• Registering your bike with 529 Garage bike registry for free – it takes only five minutes!
• Getting a 529 Garage decal to discourage thieves.
• Locking your bike properly.
In the event your bike goes missing, you’ll have everything you need to activate the police and community to help recover your bike.
This will significantly improve the chances of stolen bikes being reunited with their owners.
Registration into Project 529 is a $14.99 value, but free when done through NWPD. You must bring your bike to one of our registration events for photos and decal. You must have a email address to register. Register your bike at the following events in New Westminster:
