The New Westminster Police Service was contacted by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to conduct an investigation regarding an in-custody death that occurred in Fort St. John on Friday, September 9th.
Police officers from the New Westminster Police Criminal Investigations Section traveled to Fort St. John late Saturday afternoon to conduct the investigation. It is anticipated that investigators will remain on scene for several days interviewing witnesses. Updates will be provided as they become available.
