Frank Ciaccia
joined the New Westminster Police Service on October 15, 1984.
He has held
positions in many areas of the Service including Patrol, Youth
Services,
Mountain Bike Patrol, Executive Liaison and the Emergency Response
Team. In addition,
he was assigned to the Justice Institute of BC as a Legal Studies
Instructor
from 1993 to 1996.

Frank was
promoted
to the rank of Inspector on August 1, 2000 and has served as the
Manager of
Patrol Division and the Manager of the Criminal Investigations
Division. In
addition, Frank is the Officer-in-Charge of the Municipal Integrated
Emergency
Response Team (MIERT), which has merged the teams from New Westminster,
Abbotsford, Delta and Port Moody.
As an undergraduate
student, Frank studied Criminology at Simon Fraser University, and in
2001,
earned a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership and Training from
Royal
Roads University.
Frank
is a sports
enthusiast with a particular passion for soccer. He is a former
professional
player with the Toronto Blizzard of the North American Soccer League
and
represented Canada as a member of the Olympic Team and World Cup Team.
He
continues to play the game and is actively involved as a youth coach
with the
Vancouver Whitecaps and a director/staff coach of a successful soccer
school
program.
